Some of the most powerful words of love by Jesus are found in Matthew 5:43-44.
“Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.”
These words work against the grain of what was taught 2000 years ago and present a most challenging task for men today. The words of Jesus (in this case) bring remarkable freedom from anger, strive and many other emotional issues.
In this message you will learn:
1. Who is your enemy.
2. How we are to act towards our enemies.
3. The benefits we receive when we love our enemies.
4. How our enemies benefit from our love.
