There are two kinds of reports, reports of evil and reports of good. Most news seems to be bad news. Good news rarely reaches the headlines. It is true that the facts are the facts, however, when evil reports become the main meditations, one can expect undue pessimism, fear, and despair… certainly not mentally healthy conditions. The consequences of a culture that is focused on evil can negatively impact our thinking and thus our mental health. Good and evil come to us in the form of, “reports.”
This teaching demonstrates twelve traits of developing mental health through thinking on good reports. Imagine yourself as inspired, peaceful, and rejoicing as opposed to being depressed, saddened and troubled.
