Welcome to the second lesson on having a sound mind and another section of Mental Health and the Bible.
If you’ve listened to the first lesson I sent, you already know why this is so important. Being of a stable mind has a huge effect on our daily well-being as well as our Christian witness.
In the video I sent titled “How Convictions Create a Sound Mind”, we shared the importance of aligning ourselves with God’s thoughts. In part one of “How to Have a Sound Mind,” we learned the difference between our thoughts and God’s. In this part, we’re going to discuss how we actually go about aligning our thoughts with God’s.
Focusing first on what is not godly, we trace how human thoughts wreak havoc through pride and disobedience. That’s not our inheritance though, so next, we take a refreshing and encouraging look at the other side: God’s way in us!
We can push back against the Enemy’s way of thinking and live according to the mind of Christ, walking in His sweetness and love in every part of our lives.
This is huge. It changes everything!
This is the difference between a quick reaction and a godly response. This sets us apart like nothing else can. As we love one another, we walk in the power of Jesus, continuing to draw all mankind to Him through the love we show to others.
You’ve heard of the Golden Rule. Join me as we learn the Iron, Silver, Golden, and Platinum Rules too. When we submit our hearts and minds to the incredible love of God, we can reflect Him to everyone around us, and enjoy a life full of good fruit fulfilling God’s purpose.
