Did you know you cannot choose your gift? Who chooses the gift? The giver! Let’s look at it. Here it is in Scripture, “But now God has set the members, every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased Him.” God decides what gift to give you. God is the giver.

In James 1:17, “He is the giver of every good and perfect gift that cometh down from the Father of lights. There’s no variables either shadow of turning.” You don’t get to choose your gift. In fact, it’s dangerous to look at this list of seven: proclaiming, serving, teaching, exhorting, giving, ruling, showing mercy, and say, “Well, I don’t wanna be that one, and I don’t wanna be that one. I wouldn’t mind being that one.” It will hinder you from discovering your gift. You cannot choose your gift.

God chose your gift and deposited it in you as your embedded natural ability. Nobody’s smarter in the whole universe. Divine wisdom ordained you to receive a specific certain endowment. Nobody could choose better for ourselves than God personally. And even though you may not know what your gift is yet, this teaching series will help you understand how to discover your personal gift.
