The families of America are broken.
We are surrounded by divorce, addiction, depression, anxiety, suicide, and despair. It looks hopeless. Many men have not had a healthy father, so they have no model to follow to even know how to be good fathers. And the foundation of every family is the father.
What’s to be done?
In this lesson, we will examine what it means to be a good father—one able to offer love, stability, and hope to his children.
Let’s begin with the beginning.
Jesus died on the cross to reunite us with God the Father. That act restored relationship between man and God and opened up a way for us to reach Him and for Him to reach us.
It changed everything.
Therefore the first step for a man to learn about being a good father is submitting to God. Father God is our beginning point. He is able to bring real change to anything that is broken.
Regardless of your model, God the Father can break the generational cycle in your family and give you the tools you need to be a great father, so take heed to this encouraging teaching and learn to walk in the hope God offers.
