Corrie ten Boom, the sole survivor of her family from a Nazi German concentration camp, said that God’s love was the greatest reality. She said that when all else had fallen in her life—God’s love stood.
For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. (Psalm 103:11 NLT)
This is the truth. In the face of men’s cruelty and the evil of the world around us, we can always lift up our eyes to God and access His love. It is all-encompassing.
God’s deep love for humanity and all His creation is the overarching theme of the entire Bible. It never ends. Its depths cannot be measured. His love will never be withdrawn. It is not changeable or dependent on any feeling.
Everything He thinks and does is fueled by His love.
Everything.
It is His great love that enables us to walk in forgiveness and live in peace with all men. It is His great love that flows through the centuries like a golden thread, joining life to life and proclaiming His glory to the next generation. It is through His love that He reaches into our hearts and makes us His own.
