Jesus came to provide us with the footsteps to peace, according to Luke 1:79:
“To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.” Clearly, Jesus has marked a path for us to a peace that doesn’t depend on circumstances.
The first step to walking in the footsteps of Jesus is to believe. According to Romans 15:13, Jesus wants to … “fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
Jesus is the God of Hope. If we have hope, we won’t be depressed. Faith is the core condition of our soul that brings the promises of God into our lives. Jesus set the course for peace, but we need to pursue peace and not take it casually.
“Keep thy tongue from evil and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” Psalm 34:13-14
Peace must be sought after and pursued. This teaching will explain how to follow each of the 10 steps Jesus provided to obtain this peace. You’ll learn about the peace that comes from redemption and the peace that causes us to triumph in every trial. He wants us to have emotional stability and confidence to overcome as we walk these steps out in our everyday lives. Peace is our mission in life and as a messenger of peace, we will reap what we sow in our own lives and in the lives of others.
